Both the Weego 44 and the Weego 44s are jump starters being designed to offer 2100 amperes of peak current rating and 1000 charging cycles. Both are equipped with IP65 housing protection and have safety features as well. Moreover, they are backed up by a limited 2-year warranty.
Weego 44 is workable with gasoline as well as diesel engines. It has a 41Wh Lithium-polymer battery and a 15V/1A micro-USB port for charging it. It has three more ports to charge other electronic devices like smartphones, tablets and laptops. Moreover, its cranking current is limited to 400 amperes and is provided with a 500 Lumen LED flashlight.
Weego 44s is also compatible with both gasoline and diesel engines. For charging its 27Wh Lithium-polymer battery it is provided with a 5V/2A micro-USB port. However, its cranking current is up to 440 amperes but it lacks accessory ports for charging electronics. Moreover, it is also not provided with the LED flashlight.

Both jumpers are operated exactly in the same way but 44 having output ports for charging electronics is more profitable.
Design and Structure
44 is a rectangular pocket-sized jump starter which is coral red and black in colour. It has a flip-top that covers the upper ports (12V/2.4A Detect-O-Matic USB port, 12V/10A accessory port, 19V/3.5A laptop port and smarty clamps socket). Its top also features a 500 Lumen LED flashlight which is powered by the button on its front surface. The battery indicator lights also occupy its front surface. The bottom features a 15V/1A recharging port, a lanyard post and a power button. Its weight is almost double than that of its counterpart.
44s can also be easily carried within the pocket. This rectangular device has comparatively sharp edges. However, it is also coral red and black in colour. Its top features rubber covered 5V/2A recharging port and a socket for smarty clamps. Its front surface is equipped with battery indicator lights and a power button. It does not have an LED flashlight and is much lighter in weight as compared to its peer. Moreover, it has slightly smaller dimensions in comparison with its opponent.
Physical Characteristics | 44 | 44S |
Colour | Black and Coral Red | Black and Coral Red |
Weight (lbs) | 1.5 | 0.7 |
Length (inches) | 6.50 | 5.62 |
Width (inches) | 3.38 | 3.34 |
Height (inches) | 1.5 | 1.04 |
44 having an LED flashlight and ports for charging electronics, takes the lead in structure and design.
Supported Engines Capacity
44 is compatible with 3.2 litres of gasoline and 6.4 litres of diesel engines which allows it to jump-start heavy engines like that of trucks and SUVs.
3.5 litres of gasoline and 7 litres of diesel engines are supported by 44S which gives it a slight edge over its counterpart in jump-starting heavier engines.
Supported Engines | 44 | 44S |
Gasoline (litres) | 3.2 | 3.5 |
Diesel (litres) | 6.4 | 7 |
Peak and Cranking Current
Peak current is the maximum starting current measured within a second whereas cranking current is the starting current sustained for 2 to 3 seconds.
To start your vehicle, 44 is capable of providing a peak starting current of 2100 amperes and the cranking current sustained in it just after initiation is up to 400 Amperes. This allows it to jump-start motorcycles, passenger cars, ATVs, UTVs, and trucks.
Whereas 44s also provides a peak starting current of 2100 amperes but its cranking current is up to 440 amperes making it compatible with ATVs, UTVs, motorbikes, passenger cars and trucks.
Current Ratings | 44 | 44S |
Peak Current | 2100 Amp | 2100 Amp |
Cranking Current | 400 Amp | 440 Amp |
Both jumpers provide equal peak current but 44S having higher cranking current is capable of sustaining a comparatively higher value of current just after initiation of the vehicle.
Charging and Recharging
44 possess a 41Wh Lithium-polymer battery with a 15V/1A micro-USB charging port which takes about 2.5 hours to get charged to the maximum value. Its single charge offers 1000 cycles and average usability of about 12 months.
Whereas, 44S features a 21Wh Lithium-polymer battery. It can be fully charged by its 5V/2A micro-USB port within 2.7 hours. Its single charge also offers 1000 cycles and average usability of about 12 months.
Recharging | 44 | 44S |
Battery Power (Wh) | 41 | 27 |
Input Port | 15V, 1A | 5V, 2A |
Time Taken (Hours) | 2.5 | 2.7 |
Cycles per Charge | 1000 | 1000 |
Average Usability per Charge | 1 year | 1 year |
Both devices offer equal cycles and usability period per charge but 44 takes less time in recharging. Therefore, it is slightly ahead of its peer in this case.
Safety Features
The smarty clamps of both devices are equipped with the following safety features:
- Over-Heat
If these devices get overheated then the clamps allow them to power off automatically within 3 minutes and the power remains cut until they are cooled down properly.
- Anti-Spark
The clamps of both devices will not work until they have a proper connection with the vehicle’s battery. The green light on the clamps ensures a safe and strong connection. This feature efficiently prevents sparks.
- Reverse Polarity
If you accidentally connect the positive clamp with the negative terminal of the battery or vice versa then your clamps let you know by the error indicator.
- Power Surge
The clamps of both starters are specialised to allow the specified value of the current by each device to pass through. The clamps will cut off the connection if the engine of your vehicle drains more current than the values specified by each starter (400A for 44 and 440A for 44S).
